The Florida Department of Environmental Protection provides access points to public beaches along the coast.Henderson Beach State Park is a great spot to explore coastal dunes and take a dip in the ocean. Navarre Beach is another popular destination in Northwest Florida. It has a main beach and other access points that you can find while driving along the main road. Florida 30A is a scenic highway that crosses several coastal towns in the area.
From June to September, Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary offers kayak tours of the reef's transparent bottom. If you're looking for camping on the Gulf Islands National Coast, there's a campsite in a different area to the west. You can also find smaller beach access points along the coast, including Pensacola Beach pier. To make things easier, you can take a streetcar from the park entrance to the beach during spring and summer (every hour) and fall and winter (every two hours).
